Record
Start from the menu bar with one click. Local Minutes records your microphone. With Pro, it also records the sound of the call from Zoom, Teams or Meet. No bot joins the meeting.

Transcribe
The transcript builds while you talk. Recordings are saved in 30-second segments as you go, so a crash or a power cut does not lose the whole meeting. Imported audio and video files go through the same pipeline.

Review and ask
Read the transcript, tap any line to jump to that moment, and export it. With Pro, a local AI model writes the summary, decisions and action items, and you can ask questions across all your meetings.

Your meetings do not leave your Mac.
There is no account, no analytics and no telemetry in the app. This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking. The only network request the app makes is downloading its AI models from Hugging Face, once.

Which Mac do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) running macOS 15 or later.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account. You need an internet connection once, to download the AI models. After that, Local Minutes works without a network connection, and offline mode prevents the app from making any network requests.
Where is my data?
On your Mac, in the app's storage. Local Minutes does not sync to the cloud. Time Machine backups of your Mac can include it, as they include any other file on your Mac.
Does a bot join my meeting?
No. Nothing joins the call and nobody else sees that a recording is happening. Recording happens on your Mac.
Can I record other people?
The laws on recording conversations differ between countries and depend on who is in the call. Tell the participants before you record and get their consent. The app can store a record of consent for a recording, but that record does not replace the consent itself. See the Terms of Use.
Can I try Pro before paying?
Yes. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial through the App Store. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
