Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

The short version. Your recordings, transcripts, summaries and voice data stay on your Mac. We never receive them. Local Minutes has no account, no analytics and no telemetry, and this website sets no cookies.

1. Who we are

Local Minutes is developed and published by Jakub Jirák (“we”, “us”). For any question about this policy or your data, write to support@jakubjirak.com.

2. What stays on your Mac

The app stores the following only on your Mac:

We cannot see this data, and we do not keep a copy of it. You can delete any of it in the app at any time.

3. Network connections

Local Minutes makes only the following network connections.

Downloading AI models

The app downloads its speech and language models once from Hugging Face. Hugging Face receives the standard technical data of any web request, including your IP address, and processes it under its own privacy policy at huggingface.co/privacy. We do not receive that data.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Apple processes your Apple Account and payment details under its own privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy. The app checks locally, with StoreKit, whether you have an active subscription. We do not receive your Apple Account details or payment information.

Offline mode

Turn on offline mode in the app's settings and it blocks all network access. Local Minutes then runs without any network connection.

The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services, and it sends no usage data to us.

4. This website

This website is hosted by Vercel. When you open a page, the hosting servers technically process your IP address in their server logs, as any web server does. The website loads no external scripts, fonts or images, sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.

5. Support requests

If you write to support, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer you. We keep the correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve the request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it.

6. Recordings that include other people

Recordings can contain personal data of other people, such as the participants in a meeting. When you record a conversation, you decide why and how it is processed, and you are responsible for doing so lawfully. The Terms of Use explain this in more detail.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

If the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, you have the right to:

To exercise these rights, write to support@jakubjirak.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic, that is the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (www.uoou.cz).

Because recordings are stored only on your Mac, we usually cannot access or erase them for you. You can do that yourself in the app.

8. Children

Local Minutes is a professional tool for adults and is not directed at children.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be described in the release notes of the app.
